I have been reading up on how others have done theirs and kind of adapted my own methods for templates and checking proportions. But with that said I really have no idea what I am doing.
The front and back are actually one piece. From the other builds I have researched people typically keep the front and back separate so they can strap themselves in. I decided to try and keep it as simple as possible and see if I could get in and out of a one piece chest on my own. Turns out it's much easier than I thought. The ab and lower back sections are going to be attached as well and connect between the legs. For the forearms, I am going to add two sets of straps as opposed to the single strap that is seen on the in game armor. That way I can pull the foam closer to my arms and give it a cleaner look. Strapping will have to wait until after I seal and paint though.
Materials are your standard EVA interlocking floor mat (1/2 inch), Black foam sheets 8.5 x 11 inch (1/4 in thickness), and 3mm white Sintra board to help guide certain areas of the armor into shape. The white sintra doesn't bother me since it is all going to have to be repainted anyway (the gray is too bright for my liking)
